link & content submissions

Thank you for considering VJTV to share and promote your work and ideas. Here’s a few guidelines to help you help us to make our posts as relevant and entertaining as possible.

Update: vj.tv is now primarily focussed on video-based content. We’d love to talk about your festival, live show, software, etc – but please have a kick-ass video =)

If possible, please include:

  • Artist(s) / product title: how do you want us to list you? (ex: VJ Eyebliss, Frank Oz, Arkaos Grand VJ)
  • Video: not absolutely mandatory, but yeah try to make it a video please.
  • Region: where is it? (ex: San Francisco, Tokyo, UK, Italy)
  • Link(s): primary link to more info (ex. website, blog, Myspace, Vimeo, YouTube)
  • Brief Description: quick something to explain how it was made, why it was done, or why it is interesting.

quality & content guidelines

  • Check the freshness date. If it’s less than a month old or upcoming, then we’ll usually jump on it.
  • For older content, we look to see if it was recently made public (i.e. uploaded to Vimeo) or if it managed to go unnoticed when it happened. We’ll consider artist profile-related content that’s up to a year old, provided they’re still active.
  • Sound: sound is *very* important. If the sound is muffled, confusing, or blown-out, it’s pretty much impossible for our audience to enjoy the video.
  • Language: we do post content containing other spoken/written languages, but we’re based in San Francisco and obviously work better with English.
